Dear readers,
Happy Ember Week! Ember Days (Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) are periods of fasting, abstinence, and prayer, for thanking God and praying especially for priests and seminarians.
We also continue to commemorate this month belonging to Our Lady with articles on honoring her, consoling her, and taking care of our beloved children, who belong also to her.
Our gratitude to you who read, comment, share, and submit!

A Bow for the Queen
What’s in a name? The Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary no longer receives the honor and respect it once did. But why honor her name, and how can we restore honor to it today? Read on here.
God’s Mercy and Mary’s Tears
Could you imagine what it would be like to have not only your son, but your God, tortured to death in the most gruesome and savage ways while being taunted all the while? How terrible would it be to have the object of your most tender affection so cruelly mistreated? And how sad would you feel if those who caused the torture were, by and large, so indifferent to His pain? During this month of her Sorrows, read about consoling Our Lady here.
Children Deserve Better Books
Too many modern “children’s books” offer nothing of value: no good story, no admirable characters, no beauty, nothing to develop virtue or goodness. One can’t but ask: are these the best they have to offer our children? Ponder what our children are reading here.
