We have witnessed His death, His body being separated from his blood. Moments later, a piece of the Host is dropped into to the Eucharistic blood. I am unsure of the Latin, in English we sometimes hear may the mingling of the Body and Blood of Christ bring eternal life to those who receive it. Body and Blood are reunited, the Resurrection.
